What Is A Mortgage Broker?

Corridor Mortgage Group is a Mortgage Broker. We are a company that offers you, the consumer, the advantage of hundreds of loan products from a variety of direct lenders or investors.

You might ask yourself, "Why should I use a broker instead of the direct lender? Won't I save money by going directly to the lender?"

At Corridor Mortgage Group we can save you both money and time.
  • Since we obtain the loan products from the wholesale division of the lenders, our pricing will be competitive with their own retail prices. Furthermore, we will compare the rates of similar loan products, thus increasing your savings even more.
  • Because we have established relationships with many lenders, we can offer a wider variety of loan product that you could find with any single direct lender, thus meeting your personal needs and saving you time.

Each lender we deal with has an established wholesale division with customer service representatives that are aggressively seeking our business. Since mortgage brokers account for about 50% of all mortgage loans it is to the lender's advantage to make their product available to us at competitive pricing. And we pass that savings onto you, the consumer.

At Corridor Mortgage Group we have selected our direct lenders on a number of factors:
  • Variety of loan products
  • Competitive pricing
  • Responsive service
  • Knowledgeable service representatives
  • Common-sense underwriting guidelines
  • Fast turn-around time for loan approval

Some of the investors we have selected offer "specialty" or "niche" products which target special consumer needs that are difficult to meet. That means we can often do the tough deals that other lenders turn down.
